`I don`t know`, Wapke Feenstra (ENG)
2006

This morning I thought: I`m a contemporary abstract painter, an industrious worker who creates fields in which repetitive actions can take place and where chance is allowed to intervene. That leads to a membrane, a pattern or a series of images.
All the same, the space that is activated does not become visible. What lies behind the membrane is tangible through the traces that you get to see.
It was a good start.
By coffee-time I thought it was nonsense: after all, it would mean that I know how to determine the borders of a field.
Not knowing is much more interesting.
